Achoo!

Jay Krieger came across an amusing article discussing why we say "bless you" whenever we sneeze. He explains what messages are used by other cultures around the world when they sneeze.

cool!

Useless facts but they are true!

Did you know that it's impossible to open your eye when you sneeze. It won't harm you even if you are trying. Also, it's just about impossible to hold your eyelids open while you sneeze. They snap shut by reflex.

People can't sneeze when they are asleep..never knew about it

Oh entertaining vlog post, Jay! Good one. I have something to add. I never sneeze just once. I always sneeze in sets of 3. Kind of weird, but not as weird as my mom who sneezes like 6 or 7 times in a row when she sneezes! We no longer say, Bless You. Now we say, "Run for your lives!" ;)

Jay..
As an American deafie living in the Netherlands I can safely say they do not have a "saying" when a person sneezes..my partner found it "quaint" when I was "blessing" him..finally he asked me why I did it, told him it was just a thing we did in the states,,
so BLESS YA !!!

Another reason we are blessed after we sneeze is that we still have our eyes in our eye sockets!

Interesting subject you brought up. It is true pretty much. I tend to sneeze when the sunlight hit my eyes. Any of you do that?

interesting informations and I learned something new! :-) I always sneeze a lot during allergic season however I do sneeze not during allergic season, too...more than one!
I learned that Midwest states have high allergic (high pollen) than west and east (interesting). When I moved to Midwest state from east, I noticed that I have more allergic such as sinus, sneezes, coughs, Penicillin, etc.

Nice to see Jay K "again" ... and the information he shared was interesting, of course. What I have always done (like my mom always did, and perhaps my children will do) is sign "SNEEZE YOU!!" when I see my kids sneeze. Then we "giggle" together. I don't do that to people outside the family though, but I never felt comfortable with using the concept "Bless you." Interesting?

In Dutch "gezondheid" means "be health"

Kala mera. Agios O' Theos.

My dad (God rest his soul) used to sneeze 12-15 times in 2 minutes.
I usually sneeze 5 times in less than a minute.

Your vlog is cheerful and very entertaining. God bless you.

Interesting fact! . When we have a bad cold, we sneeze a lot. I would not consider it as a blessing. People won't sit near people who sneeze a lot ( cold) in order to avoid catching a cold.
